Cassandra Bandera  (Cass) started her journey as a volunteer May 12, 2022. She arrived at her first Tuesday night training to meet all of her fellow volunteers and that Thursday she was a team member on the High Park Fire. True definition of "initiation by fire!" Cass fit in with her new Fire fighter family like it was meant to be. She worked her tail off and got hired on full time with Four Mile Fire Department September 1, 2022 and made Lietuenant position.  On December 17, 2022 she completed EMT school and MANY other FireFighter courses/trainings. 

"If you asked me where I thought I would have been at this point in my life, being a Firefighter/EMT was the furthest thing from list of goals BUT I DID IT and I couldn't be more proud to be apart of this community, team, and family!"
