Our area is currently under an Red Flag Warning, which means no burning of slash piles is permitted. Campfires are still allowed, but we ask that you use extreme caution due to critically dry conditions. High winds and low humidity this weekend are creating extreme fire weather across our region.

We are urging all residents to be especially careful with any outdoor activities that could spark a fire. This includes:
    •    Never leaving campfires unattended and fully extinguishing them with water
    •    Avoiding the use of equipment that can throw sparks
    •    Properly discarding cigarettes and matches
    •    Postponing any burning projects until conditions improve

Even a small spark can rapidly escalate into a dangerous wildfire under these conditions. Our firefighters are prepared, but fire prevention starts with all of us.
